MEET THE CULTURE WINDOW ARTISTS: APRIL 16 (Part II)

GLEICH DANCES

As the founder and and Artistic Director of Gleich Dances, Julia Gleich has been making dances for 25 years and is motivated by working in collaboration, and by illuminating the relationships between the traditional and the contemporary, scrapping aesthetic labels. After 15 years living and teaching in London, she returned to New York City and premiered the full evening ballet Martha (The Searchers) in collaboration with Guggenheim Fellow Elana Herzog.

On April 16, Gleich Dances presents excerpts from a contemporary ballet, See Through, created in collaboration with visual artist Karen Schifano.

GIRL BE HEARD

Girl Be Heard is an organization that develops, amplifies, and celebrates the voices of young women through socially conscious theatre-making.
On Culture Window opening night, they will present an excerpt from their 2021 production The People vs. Justice.
