The Actors Fund Arts Center is a state-of-the-art performance venue and rehearsal space located in the lobby level of The Schermerhorn in Downtown Brooklyn. The venue is operated by The Actors Fund in collaboration with Common Ground Community. The mission of The Actors Fund Arts Center (AFAC) is to serve as a resource for Brooklyn-based artists and arts groups to aid in the development and sharing of their work, as well as a venue for integrating the residents of The Schermerhorn with the surrounding community through the arts. 

American Ballet Theatre is recognized as one of the great dance companies in the world. Few ballet companies equal ABT for its combination of size, scope, and outreach. Recognized as a living national treasure since its founding in 1940, ABT annually tours the United States, performing for more than 450,000 people. One of ABT’s main missions is to ensure that the traditions of dance and movement are sustained and carried on. Through exposure and celebration, education and training. 

Common Ground’s mission is to strengthen individuals, families and communities by developing and sustaining exceptional supportive and affordable housing as well as programs for homeless and other vulnerable New Yorkers. 

NYC Resistor is a hacker collective with a shared space located in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Members meet regularly to share knowledge, hack on projects together and build community. 

Norte Maar for Collaborative Projects in the Arts creates, promotes and presents collaborations in the disciplines of visual, literary, and the performing arts: connecting visual artists, choreographers, composers, writers and other originating artists with venues and each other. 

St. Francis College, rooted in the vibrant community of Brooklyn Heights and minutes from Manhattan, is the Small College of Big Dreams.
