Brooklyn Ballet featured in "It's The Moment"

Brooklyn Ballet was featured on Downtown Brooklyn's It's the Moment web site, a site devoted to promoting the competitive advantages of living or having a business in the borough. Read the full "moment" below:

Founded in 2002, the Brooklyn Ballet is a unique dance company and ballet school with a mission to bring world-class ballet to the richly diverse population of Brooklyn.

Brooklyn Ballet offers educational programs and classes in everything from conservatory ballet to jazz and hip-hop. Classes are available to students of all ages and backgrounds.

In 2009, the Brooklyn Ballet moved into its new home on Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The new 2,000 square foot facility is in a building designed by Polshek Partnership Architects.

"With Brooklyn as one of America's cultural capitals, we are thrilled to make our new home in such a dynamic and supportive arts community," says founder and artistic director Lynn Parkerson.
