Brooklyn Ballet performs at State of the Borough Address

Brooklyn Ballet performed for Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz's State of the Borough address, February 3, 2010. Mike Fields and Kerry Shea, members of Brooklyn Ballet company, performed a duet choreographed by Lynn Parkerson for community leaders, including Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.

Other performers at the event included the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and the Three Tenors of Brooklyn.

Markowitz said, "I have been proud to support the Brooklyn Ballet and its new home theater in downtown Brooklyn's Schermerhorn House where they will perform and inaugurate the opening of Brooklyn's newest theatre in April 2010! Bravo Artistic Director Lynn Parkerson!"
